Students participating in the eTwinning project „Youth has
the Midas touch” have celebrated Women's Day by promoting each country's most
important women.
They used „Speak Pic”, a very nice app, that made the personalities speak with the voice of the children.

1894 – September 3, 1917) was a Romanian woman who fought and died in World War
I, and is regarded as a heroine of Romania.

Kersti Kaljulaid (born 30

state of Estonia since the country declared independence in 1918.
Kristina Šmigun-Vähi (born 23 February 1977) is a former
Estonian female cross-country skier and politician. She is the most successful
Estonian female cross-country skier with two Olympic gold medals. In 2019 she
was elected as a Member of the Estonian Parliament.

(CIMT) and teaches at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz.

Ana Aslan was considered a pioneer of social medicine.
Years after becoming the head of the physiology department at the Institute of
Endocrinology of Bucharest, she founded the Institute of Geriatrics of
Bucharest. Ana Aslan is known for coining the term “gerontology”, and in 1959
organized the Romanian Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics. The Romanian
Society of Gerontology was the first in the world to channel its research into
clinic, experimental, and social researches, devise a therapeutic strategy to
prevent the process of aging, and organize and national health network for the
prevention of aging. Her drug was used by many famous politicians and
celebrities around the world, including John F. Kennedy

Keriman Halis Ece was born in 1913 and died in 2012. She
was a pianist, and fashion model who won the Miss Turkey 1932 title. After that
she represented Turkey in international beauty competition called International
Pageant of Pulchritude. She completed this competition as being chosen the 1st
among 28 different candidates and became the first Turkish woman to be Miss
Universe. Founder of the Turkish Republic Mustafa Kemal Atatürk gave her the
surname ‘ECE’, which means “queen”.
