Active school life continues in the coronavirus situation.
Thanks to the support of Education and Youth Board Training Center (Haridus ja Noorteamet
Koolituskeskus - HARNO) and the inspiration given to our team by the teacher of
e-twinning Ene Kruzman, we became participants in the new online e-Twinning
project for us "There is a Midas touch in youth!" schools from
different countries (Turkey, Romania, France, Estonia). The theme of the
project is serious - belonging to European values, human rights, common
civilized identity. History and social studies teacher Oksana Kutsyak, together
with school students and the head of the
school for projects Galina Safronova, took part in a competition and choice of
a logo project, an online quiz on human rights and international online
meetings on the possibilities of using the international e-Twinning system.
Parents are also involved in the project by taking part in a survey about
e-twinning activities. The project coordinator and our mentor is the English
teacher Zehra Kanbolat from Anatolian secondary school Akifa Palali from Adana,
Sarycham, Turkey. The project program is extensive and runs until May 2021.
According to teachers, participation in such projects broadens the horizons of students in the field of human rights and Europeanism, creates an environment for the best use of common English, increases students' interest in lessons, activates them, teaches them to communicate with European friends and exchange ideas related to the tasks at hand. It also significantly improves skills and abilities in the use of digital technologies. As a result, the project participants significantly improve their professional level, and the school includes new practice in the curriculum. “We expect that at the end of this project our students and teachers will actively use many virtual instruments and the distance learning process will become more efficient and effective,” concludes the school director Irina Shulgina.
